Free Music Production Classes, Lessons, and Sessions!

Wicked Squid Studios is a full service recording studio based in the heart of Rochester, NY.  Our mission from the start has been simple; to build and support the Rochester community through the veins of music production and education.  In 2016 Wicked Squid Studios formed a close partnership with the Rochester Public Library’s ImagineYOU Program.  Since then our organization has worked with a range of students aged 18 and younger who possess a variety of interests and talents.  In our program students have the opportunity to learn about an array of music production concepts at a pace that suits them.  Through both one-on-one production sessions and small group classes, students also get to be hands on and self-directed in their education.    

This year we are excited to announce the opening “Studio A” at our Smith Street location.  The addition of Studio A presents a variety of new learning opportunities for students that include the following.

  • Beat making workshops

  • Drum recording workshops

  • Bass and Guitar recording workshops

  • Mixing workshops

  • Mastering workshops

  • Additional one-on-one session opportunities and more!

Due to this expansion of our program we are looking for your help!  We are currently in search of new students aged 18 and younger who are or may be interested in learning more about music production.  No previous experience in music production or music is required and sessions and workshops are ALWAYS free to students.  All we ask is that students fill out our Student Registration form below to get started!
